Good morning, friends!
In this Recession time, when ‘greed’ is being exposed as it is even among Christians, I like what an evangelist said recently about giving in so many words: “If you give to the works of God, give, not so you can get manifold return, but because the Gospel needs to be preached’.  The miraculous thing is, giving in the Lord, is regardless of ‘recession’, it is but according to the Lord’s leading. The need for more intercessors to uphold those working in different nations is increasing.  We can no longer sit back in our indulging comfort and be indifferent to God’s works and workers sent to the nations.   The world is groaning frightfully, but the Kingdom is advancing like never before.  Please read the updates below prayerfully and hear what part the Lord wants you to partake (perhaps focussing on ONE nation), whether it’s through finance, intercession or encouragement.  Among our network of friends around the globe, here are some of the happenings and transformation of lives at grass-root level around the globe:
BRAZIL
Paul Cull, powers on in Brazil taking young men to Jesus, one by one. I quote excerpts of his letter to us here:
Last week I travelled to São Paulo at short notice, taking another young man to the rehabilitation house. We now have three youth there: Jhonatan, who is nearing the end of his treatment and doing very well, Wamberg who has now been there two months and is also doing well, and the newcomer, Alexandre”
Financial help to rehabilitate the young people IS crucial, this, along with intercession, is where churches around the world can take part. In the mean time, Paul also is ministering in churches around Brazil with signs and wonders often following. However, the financial pressure had caused him to face two possibilities, in his words Paul says:
“I hesitate to ask again, but please keep my finances in prayer. Due to the recent state of things in this area, I am wondering whether I should go ahead with my planned move to São Paulo, with the potential for greatly increased ministry opportunities (both through travelling throughout Brazil and also through the internet - I discovered recently that some of my online teachings appears to have been downloaded around 25,000 times), or whether I should just consider that maybe this financial pressures mean that I should actually think about returning home to New Zealand and seeking a full-time job again.” Amazingly, 2 days ago, Paul informed us that the Lord recently has come through with some financial provision which confirms to Paul that the move to Sao Paulo is right.

GIBRALTAR

Yvonne and Stu Wingar, are expecting their first baby (a miracle baby that is) not before too long. Please pray for them, especially Yvonne and the baby, as the threats of complication is never far. Let’s intercede that Yvonne will continue to enjoy a healthy pregnancy throughout and a safe delivery. Stu and Yvonne are part of a mission work with HCJB a broadcasting mission endeavours to spread  the Gospel through the radio. In their own words: ‘We continue to receive stories of people hearing the Good News through the radio and are excited to be a part of this important ministry to un-reached people.”
SAMOA

There is an growing urgency for Samoa; an urgency to send Rasela Saofia, a Samoan high chief’s daughter, to visit Samoa this year. We often do not comprehend fully what the Lord is up to, but we do sense His heart of intercession for that nation, and need to follow it through.

INDONESIA

-TRANSLATION WORK.. Translation from English into Bahasa Indonesia of a Teaching Manual for Early Childhood Education (E.C.E) is in process. Froly gets the honour of doing it. This is a big job indeed, and it takes time, energy, expertise endurance and money. This is part of the groundwork in regards to pioneer an Early Childhood Education work based on biblical principles in Minahasa, North Sulawesi. Nonita Mellsop, an E.C.E expert still plans to visit and help with the ground work there in September this year.
-IMANUEL CHRISTIAN SCHOOL, JAKARTA. In the last House of Nations newsletter, Froly told of her visit to a humble but effective Christian School. One of the hugest responses we received was from the Association of Vineyard Churches in New Zealand. AVC Mission, headed by Pastor Vic Francis, plans to take an offering soon towards provision of new computers for the school, which existing computers are now about 30 years old, and totally outdated. Thank you so much, AVC.

-POKOK ANGGUR (The Vine) FELLOWSHIP, MINAHASA.
This fellowship  led by David and Fransien Rotty, is still facing huge challenges. They recently have been asked to vacate the rented house which they have been using to meet regularly and set up office so far. In the midst of trials, though, the Kingdom continues to advance, as they are now starting another ‘fellowship’ (they refer it as ‘a branch’) in another village. Before they had one, now they have 2 fellowship groups. David and Fransien’s first group has so far been more than just where people meet to worship, but also a place where people will receive counselling and practical help. They often go to visit prisons and the poor to deliver basic daily needs, out of their often meagre resources.  They have seen many turn to the Lord.

By now, you should know Rachael Hope, and her husband Glenn, the Principal of the Bible College Esperanza Para Laciones, and their kids, Rebecca, Sarah and Joshua. Rachael is originally from NZ, and Glenn, an Australian who followed the call of God in 2007 to serve Him in Uruguay. In Rachael’s word regarding the Bible College:   “Our students at Esperanza Para Las Naciones are progressing well”. They have 8 students, with 7 of them full-time. Their God-given task is huge, as Rachael said:  “we really need a lot of finances for this project to continue.  Pray for God's awesome favor and provision.” Though they feel they still have  some way to go, both Rachael and Glenn are starting to preach and teach in Spanish.  Anyone who speaks more than one language and living in a foreign land, can appreciate the effort and sacrifice in learning another language and adapting to another culture. Their 3 young children, on the other hand, are fluent Spanish speakers.  After 2 years, Glenn and Rachael finally gained their residency in Uruguay. Thank you for all the prayers of believers for them.

We so appreciate you all for walking with us, but most of all your friendship in the works that the Lord has entrusted us and linked us with.

Till next time,
Robin and Froly
