FATH

There were 2 things Jesus was amazed at in the Gospels great faith and lack of faith.

In Mark 6:5-6 ‘he could not do many miracles there except lay his hands a few sick people and heal them and he was amazed at their lack of faith.”

And Luke 7:9 ‘When Jesus heard this he was amazed at Him and said to the crowd I tell you I have not found such great faith even in Israel”

Faith obviously is important to God and in our lives. Jesus was amazed when he saw people with lack of faith and amazed when he saw people with great faith (here it was the non-Jewish centurion.) I started thinking when Jesus looks at me and my life is he amazed with my lack of faith or is he amazed with my great faith. To be honest I think he would be amazed at my lack of faith in Him. Without faith it’s impossible to even please God. These 2 examples in the gospels are directly connected to healing. We can’t get around it or avoid it. Now obviously we can grow in faith and we are encouraged to grow in love and faith in our Christian walk. We also know faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. That I think entails more than just reading the word. It’s a place where you meditate on it and it becomes a rhema a quickened word to our very spirits where it’s like a light goes off inside of us in our spirit man. It’s like a Eureka moment and we get it. I know because I know because I know. Bill Johnson always says fear 2 things fear God and fear unbelief. If we have lack of faith we need to come before Him honestly and repent of it and ask for His for forgiveness. Lord would you be amazed at me because of my faith in you and your word. Wow that’s a great prayer. Our unbelief doesn’t glorify Him.
