FAVOUR PART 2

Last week we looked at favour. I want to continue with it. Remember all favour is attracted from heaven to Jesus. We delight in him and so connect with Him. He lives in us so what does his favour look like. Gods favour is a gift of love. Kindness and blessings that God gives to people without merit. Also means acceptance and goodwill. We are excepted because we are in Christ. Its preferential treatment, special benefits and blessings. Its demonstrated delight and the tangible evidence that a person has the approval of the Lord. We have the approvable of the Lord because we love His son

Isaiah 66:2 says This is the one I esteem and show favour. He who is humble and contrite in spirit and trembles at my word.

Then in 2 chronicles 16:9 it says For the eyes of the lord range through out the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed or perfect to Him.

To be perfect means to his favour more than we seek the favour of anyone else.

How do we get favour. To believe in the Lord Jesus Christ for those in the new covenant. It doesn’t mean you won’t suffer hardship, not at all. It can be the opposite. Man with great favour often had the most difficulties. Think of Noah, Moses, Daniel, joseph and Paul in the NT. Favour is not about when everything is going well. When things are not going well, we often start complaining and murmuring to God. Why did you allow this to happen me God. It’s not fair. We actually cur off Gods favour for that situation Attitude of heart is everything. Learning to receive under extreme pressure is the real test. So, remember every day regardless of what you are going through begin to thank him and say Lord thank you for opening my eyes to seeing your favour in this situation and see what you are doing because after all you have gone into my future. Heart attitude and expectency are the keys. Don’t go to crumbling.
