GLORY TO GLORY

“And we all with unveiled faces or open faces are being transformed into His image. With ever increasing glory or from glory to glory which comes from the Lord who is Spirit.”

2 Corinth 3:18

Interesting enough it says we are being changed from glory to glory.

As Rick Renner says its from glory to glory not from mess to mess. In other words from one glorious place to another glorious place.

In other words, according to this we don’t move on to the next glorious stage God has for us until we have become glorious in our present situation.

So we need to ask ourselves self-questions which is a good exercise during lent and for those who have fasted.

Have I done all the Lord has told me to do right now. Obedience is crucial.

Have I really completed the assignment as God instructed me to do.

Have I done it will all my heart and professionally and on time.

Have I made my present financial situation glorious or am I living in financial shambles. (Gulp that’s a hard one)

Have I done everything I can to make this present stage of my life a bright and shining example to others or this part of my life a dismal failure of which I’m embarrassed. Have I brought this part of my life to a glorious finish

Tough questions

We must be willing to permanently remove the veil from our eyes and take an honest look in the mirror in order to truthfully to acknowledge the condition of our present stage.

Being truthful before the Lord and allowing him to correct us, change and transform us. The word transformed is the word for metamorphous. Being changed from a caterpillar to a butterfly. We are being changed to look and act like Him. To go from glory to glory we must be willing to allow God to lift the veil from our eyes and acknowledge and cry out. I need to be transformed.

It can be difficult on our flesh and pride. Truthfulness can be painful but it produces tremendous change. Isn’t that what is at the heart of lent. To be changed into His image.
