HEARING HIS VOICE

“But when you open my ears and speak deeply to me. I become your willing servant your prisoner of love for life. So I said here I am coming to you as a sacrifice.” Psalm 40 6-7 passion translation.

This most likely is a prophetic look into the life of Jesus as well as David encountering the voice of God. There is something profound when we hear Gods voice speak to us deeply in our hearts. There is nothing as quiet as powerful as those moments. It brings an assurance, a deep peace and a knowing. It calms the surrounding storms and even more than that it brings us to a deeper place of surrender to Him and a desire to walk in in a deeper obedience. It awakens a deeper love in our hearts Something profound happens in those moments. We need to ask God to open our spiritual ears and the spiritual eyes of our heart to know Him better. In Isaiah 50 it gives an insight to Jesus’ life and how he walked with his Father in heaven here on earth.

It says “the sovereign lord has given me an instructed tongue, he wakens me morning by morning, he wakens my ear to listen like one being taught. The Sovereign Lord has opened my ears and I have not been rebellious, I have not drawn back” it then goes on to talk about his suffering. If Jesus had to have his spiritual ears open how much more do we need God to open our ears to hear His voice.
