‘Your favor wraps around each one and covers them. Under your canopy of kindness and joy. Psalm 5:12

Passion translation

I love this verse and particular translation especially for this season. Gods favor doesn’t rest on everyone the same. We have to develop a level of expectancy every day in our hearts. We have to be honest before the Lord as well and admit that many times we don’t really have any expectancy of Gods favor upon us each day. Ask yourself each morning, Lord, do I have an expectancy of seeing your favor today in my family, my home, my job, in my finances, in my circumstances and what I’m really struggling with. He wants to wrap his favor around us like a cloak or a shield. We can end up living in a quiet despair. What does it really mean to live under his canopy of His kindness and joy. What does that look like? If this describes you it’s time to bring it to the Lord. The verse before that says “Lord how wonderfully you bless the righteous”
