PRESERVE MY LIFE

“Preserve my life according to your promise, Psalm 119:154

That phrase preserve me is repeated several times in the Psalm Preserve me according to your love, preserve me according to your love. " Preserve me according to your righteousness. " That word preserve in the Hebrew “Chayah” has a rich meaning. It means revive me when I'm weary, strengthen me in suffering. Lift me up when I feel low or discouraged. Keep me spiritually alive and close to you. Lord, bring me back to life again and again through your word, your precepts, your love, your promises through your righteousness.

To restore, revive or restore to life. Life is more than just staying alive or surviving, but thriving. It means to be brought back from a place of dust, lowliness or despair. David had an amazing understanding, and he is asking something huge. The same power that raises the dead restores nations, brings dry bones to life sustain all creation to work personally in my heart.

Chayah is a God-sized word for life, not just breathing but revived, restored, and strengthened. God-given life.  How about taking some time to pray through places where David prays, preserve my life, declaring it over your life.
