ROMANS 5:11

Romans 6:11 “In the same way count yourselves dead to sin but alive to God in Christ Jesus”

I’m stuck in Romans 6 at the moment and loving it.

We are alive to God in the realm and reign of God. It’s a statement about our position, and status in Christ. Take this as the bare and naked word of God believe it and act upon it. We are finished with the realm, the reign and the realm of sin. Death and sin no longer has dominion over us. We have to learn to walk in it.

But being alive to God means our relationship with God has totally changed.

We are no longer under the wrath of God. We are now under His favour. We have become His children. He loves us as he loves His own Son. We are open to all the blessings of God in Christ Jesus. We are alive to Gods plans and purposes for our lives which is what. Eph 1:4 tells us. ‘He chose us in Christ to be holy and blameless in His sight. That’s His plan for you. He will do it because we are in Christ. We are not in the realm of the kingdom of darkness. He plucked us out of that Kingdom put us into His Kingdom of Light. His purpose is being worked out in us because we have been united to Christ. We belong to Him. The question is do you believe it.
