THE LOVE WALK

THE LOVE WALK

‘And hope does not disappoint us because the love of God has been she abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who he has given us Romans 5:5

This is an amazing powerful scripture far more than we realize. Last week we looked at the fact that we are called to love one another and love our neighbor's as our self. The question is how we do that. How do love like that. This scripture means when we received Jesus as our Lord and Savior. Love himself was shed abroad in our hearts. He dwells within you and I to empower us to live a life of love just as Jesus did when he walked this earth. This means you don’t have to come up with supernatural love on your own. You already have it in your heart.

The words shed abroad denotes a pouring forth, a discharge, a spilling out or something that is dispersed in abundance. In other words God has magnificently bestowed on you the love you need to love like he does. To walk the love walk is a walk of faith of learning to choose love in every situation. It’s a daily dying to our self, the flesh and our negative feelings. We have to change our thinking and bring our will in line with the truth of His word.
