THE SOUND OF HIS VOICE

‘But when you open my ears and speak deeply to me I become your willing servant, your prisoner of love for life so I said Here I am, I’m coming to you as a sacrifice Psalm 40:6-7 Passion translation.

I love this version. There is something about hearing Gods voice speaking deeply in us. It sets us free; it brings a deeper surrender to him, it brings transformation into the deepest part of our being. Maybe that’s why in Paul's Apostolic prayer in Ephesians he prays that the eyes of our heart may be in enlightened that we may know Him better. His voice does something in us that nothing else can do. Is this the cry of your heart? Lord open my spiritual ears, remove the veil so I can hear your voice deep in me so that it will bring the deep changes in my heart that are needed to bring lasting change and fresh awakening in my heart. There is something about His voice that cuts through everything else
