WALK IN THE LIGHT

‘For he has rescued us from the dominion of darkness and brought us into the kingdom of the Son, he loves in whom we have redemption, the forgiveness of sins’ Colossians 1:13

This is one of the most powerful verses on our identity in Christ.

The language is a lot stronger in the original Greek language.

He says he has delivered us from the Kingdom of darkness and transferred us into the Kingdom of His Son, which is the kingdom of light. There are only in 2 kingdoms. The kingdom of darkness and God's Kingdom. When we give our lives to God he literally takes us out of Satan's kingdom and puts us in His Kingdom of light. That’s incredible.

“You are children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or the darkness” 1 Thes 5:5

Then it says in Ephesians 5:8

“For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. Live as children of the light.”

That means we should be manifesting the fruit of that kingdom, which consists of goodness, righteousness, truth, and holiness.

That means we are meant to become more and more like Jesus in every way. That’s the proof of our faith. To call yourself a Christian and continue to walk in the darkness is a total contradiction. It reveals whether your faith is genuine and if you truly know Christ. Every time we live in sin, we are going back to Satan’s kingdom, and he traps us in his web, and we become trapped and snared. Let Colossians be our bold declaration when temptation comes
