A DIFFERENT SPIRIT

Joshua and Caleb who were among those who had explored the land tore their clothes and said to the entire Israelite assembly,’ The land we passed through and explored is exceedingly good. If the Lord is pleased with us he will lead us into the land, a land flowing with milk and honey and will give it to us” Numbers 14:6-8

Only 2 out of nearly 3 million people had a different spirit. Not great odds. But notice what they said “if the Lord is pleased with us. They knew something the other 3 million didn’t know about God's character. His pleasure towards them was enough. If He was pleased with them no problem. The rest of them thought God was against them and displeased with them and they just wanted to go back to Egypt. It plunged them into unbelief and rebellion against the very God who had great pleasure towards them because they had had a totally different mindset to how they saw God. Do you know and sense the pleasure of God towards you and towards Southside. It was a great pleasure to give us His Son Jesus Christ. It was yes the greatest display of His love for us but also His great pleasure towards us. Let’s go forward with a sense of His great pleasure with us.
