GODS SHAKINGS

“This is what the Lord almighty says; ‘In a little while I will once more shake the heavens and earth, the sea and the dry land. I will shake the nations and the desired of all nations will come and I will fill this house with glory’ says the Lord or mighty” Haggai 2:6

An interesting verse. Its primarily talking about the restoration of Israel as a nation and the nations will come.

At the beginning it talks about God once again shaking the heavens and the earth. It seems this has happened over the course of world history. It seems we are in a season of shaking. I was listening to a podcast where the person asked the question how are the heavens shaken. Because really the heavens are in Gods domain so how could they be shaken. His explanation was its referring to the principalities and powers of wickedness in the high places and when God begins to shake them to bring everything into the alignment of his will and purpose and its manifest on the earth by shakings. You think of the overturning of the abortion laws in America. There is a huge shaking. See behind the abortion is a principality and power, a demonic power. It’s the god of Molech which was around in Israel’s time in the Old Testament. The nations at that time sacrificed their children in the fire in the worship of this demon god. Even Israel got caught up in it and that’s part of the reason judgement came. God is shaking it. Its like God said enough is enough. Even the war in the Ukraine and Russia behind that is a principality of communism. God is shaking it and it’s manifesting in the earth in a war. God does it to bring everything into alignment to his plans and purposes and to bring people into his Kingdom. Even covid is part of his shaking to reset his church and bring it into alignment to his purposes. Remember Gods kingdom can never be shaken.
