ISRAEL

Just want to address the issue that’s making all the headlines at the moment globally and that’s Israel and where we stand on the issue. Its even causing a real debate and division in the church and antisemitism is reaching fever pitch all around the world and there have even been cases of Jews been hunted down in a Russian airport to kill them and Jews have been told to stay at home and hide in New York as thousands of demonstrator’s march supporting Palestine and calling for Jews to be killed and even gassed.

We don’t believe in Replacement theology which says God has totally rejected Israel forever and now the church is the new Israel. And saying all the OT prophecies about Israel about God restoring Israel back to the land are not literal and somehow are just spiritual promises now for the church. That is just a complete and horrendous violation of Biblical hermeneutics and how to interpret scripture.

“In those days and that time when I restore the fortunes of Judah and Jerusalem, I will gather all nations and bring them down to the valley of Jehoshaphat (means the Lord judges) There I will enter into judgement against them concerning my inheritance my people Israel for they have scattered my people among the nations and divided up my land.” Joel 3:1-3

God will judge the nations according to how they deal with Israel. As we approach the end of the age Israel is going to become more and more central in world affairs and anti semitism will increase. Paul makes it very clear before the coming of Jesus all Israel will be saved because of Gods covenant he made with Abraham. God determines and sets the times and the boundaries of nations so that man would perhaps reach out and seek him and find him. May many find Christ in all of the middle east at this time.
