POWER AND MIGHT

“Finally my brethren be strong in the Lord and in the power of his might”

Ephesians 6:10

In Rick Renner’s book Sparkling Gems he says the Greek word for might means or conveys the idea of a very, very strong man such as a body builder or a mighty man with great muscular abilities Paul applies this word to God himself as one who is mighty, able and muscular. Where is this powerful mighty ability of God working today? In you and me. He says in the power of His might. The word power is the word that describes the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. Its power whose purpose is to infuse in a believer you and I with an excessive dose of inward strength. This power is so strong that it can withstand any attack and successfully oppose any kind of force. No wonder Paul prays in Ephesians 1 that you may have the Spirit of wisdom and revelation so that you may know experientially that might power that is working in you. Do you know it, experienced it.

That exact identical power and might that God used to raise Jesus from the dead that is now at work in you. That means we have resurrection power working in our lives. It's time to turn up our level of expectation. Start anticipating that this mighty power of God will begin to flow through you today. This is a demonstrated or outwardly manifested kind of power, and he wants to release it through us. Oh, my oh my. Let us believe it.
