REVELATION

“Pour into me the brightness of your daybreak,

Pour into me your rays of revelation –truth” Psalm 43:3 passion translation.

“Send forth your light and your truth let them bring me to your holy mountain to the place you dwell” NIV translation

I have been mediating on this verse over the last week. I love the passion translation. This verse very much ties in with Paul’s prayer in Ephesians 1:15

That God may give us a spirit of revelation and truth that we may know him better and the eyes of our hearts are enlightened. Can’t seem to get away from it. This is a real key. I shared last week how faith comes by hearing and hearing the word of God. It’s the rhema word of God. It’s when the Holy Spirit takes a scripture and it explodes inside of us. It’s the only way I can explain it. The Holy Spirit quickens and makes it real in our Spirits. That’s what creates faith and brings dramatic change. We read the word of God which is good but it’s those moments when the Holy Spirit makes it alive to our Spirits that makes it alive and powerful. David understood this. It’s those moments of divine encounter. It’s those moments when His truth cuts through and really sets us free. The purpose is to bring us into holiness and purity. Most of us know the areas of our lives that we struggle with. It’s often only as revelation comes into those stubborn and persistence areas that are resistant to God and change. Lord send forth your truth and light that pierces into our hearts that will bring lasting transformation in our hearts and lives.
