STANDING WITH ISRAEL

“I will establish my covenant as an everlasting between you and me and your descendants after you for the generations to come, to be your God and the God of your descendants after you. The whole land of Canaan where you are an alien I will give as an everlasting possession to you and your descendants after you and I will be their God.” Genesis 18:7

Here God is renewing his covenant to Abraham. Notice it’s an everlasting covenant and it’s the whole land of Canaan. There are several covenant’s that God makes in the Bible but this one with Abraham was unconditional except that Abraham had to leave his land and travel to Canaan and walk through the land which he did. When God first made this covenant, he actually put Abraham to sleep so in a sense God made this covenant with himself so it can never be broken. One of the greatest deceptions is what is called replacement theology which states God has rejected the Jewish people because they rejected Jesus and now the church is the new Israel and all the promises God made to Abraham and to the Jews now belong the church. This passage along with many other passages refutes that. Sadly, the seeds of anti-semiticism were started in the church by this false teaching, and even the very seeds of the German holocaust were sown by the church down the centuries. Israel became a nation again in 1948 in the very land of Canaan God promised to Abraham according to His covenant and they have been returning ever since about 30,000 every year. This is one of the greatest miracles and proves the Bible is absolutely true. They are still Gods people and Paul says eventually all Israel will be saved. In actual fact Jesus said Ill will not return until that day Israel cry out and acknowledge me as their messiah. Be very careful because if you stand against Israel you stand against God.
