THE LORDS COMPASSION

In repentance and rest is your salvation in quietness and trust is your salvation” Isaiah 30:15

He is contrasting this with the Israelites who would have none of it and were trusting in their own strength and abilities instead of trusting in the Lord.

V18 “Yest the Lord longs to be gracious to you he rises to show you compassion for the Lord is a God of justice. Blessed are all who wait for Him” But even in that place Gods heart and compassion is evident towards them even in their rebellion and stubbornness.

The amplified version puts it this way which is amazing.

“And therefore, the lord earnestly waits, expecting looking and longing to be gracious to you and therefore He lifts Himself up that he may have mercy on you and show loving kindness to you. For the lord is a God of justice. Blessed happy, fortunate, to be envied are all those who earnestly wait for Him who expect and look and long for Him. For He is victory, His favour, His love, His peace, His joy and his matchless unbroken companionship”

He lifts Himself up to show His compassion to you whatever situation you are facing today, right now. Reach out to Him.
