CORONA VIRUS

I urge, first of all that requests prayers and intercession and thanksgiving be made for everyone for kings and all those in authority, that we live peaceful and quiet lives in all godliness and holiness 1 Timothy 2:1-2

Last week I talked about this verse and how important we pray for our coming elections. We also need to pray for this nation in regards to corona virus. I’m amazed and astounded at Gods mercy on this nation how at this time we avoided the corona virus, especially when we see what’s happening in the rest of the world especially with our closet neighbor's in Australia. We should be full of praise and gratitude to our father in heaven and be asking what Him what does this mean and what do you want to accomplish in NZ at this time and to be praying for the nations. Let’s not become indifferent and apathetic at this time.

Most churches in Australia and America are still in lock down and many mega churches in the States have closed down until next year except for some small group ministries. Most churches are streaming on line but some of the statistics coming out of the States are not good with over 50% of the Christians having not watched a service online for 4 weeks or more. The novelty of online church is wearing off really fast and many big churches might not even survive especially if they stay in lock down until next year. God is sifting His church. Our role should be one of overflowing thankfulness and praise for his mercy to NZ and praying for His church. Let’s walk in humility and gratefulness at this time.
