NEW LIFE IN CHRIST

“So my brothers you also died to the law through the body of Christ that you belong to another, to him who was raised from the dead in order that we may bear fruit for God” Romans 7:4

This is the Gospel in a nut shell. We are dead to the law. That means salvation is no longer by our works. There was nothing wrong with Gods law. It is absolutely holy and righteous. The problem was with us. We are just unable to keep Gods holy commands because we are sinful and unholy. But now we have an entirely new life. Dead and a new life. An entirely new relationship with God, Our whole standing with God is different. It’s not about trying to modify ourselves, a profound change has taken place. We are no longer married to the old husband- the law but married to Christ. We now live in the dominion of His grace. It’s His very life, Its Him living in us producing fruit for God. Jesus died to sin and was raised again. We are provided with an entirely new ability, and power to bring forth fruit. We are not the same person we once were. A new life in us. Something has happened to us. If your desire is to know God you are saved no matter how weak you may feel and fail you increasingly desire to be free from sin.
