POWER

“Finally be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power”

Ephesians 6 :10

According to Rick Renner’s book “Sparkling gems from the Greek” the word strong” comes from the Greek word dunamis which means explosive, strength, ability, and power. It’s where we get the word dynamite. It’s a picture of explosive power been released into a vessel which is you and I. When Paul tells us to be strong he is essentially saying “receive a supernatural strengthening, internal deposit of power in your inner man. God is the giver and we are just the vessels into which this power is deposited. God knew we would need His supernatural power in our lives to live victoriously. This is the same power that raised Jesus from the dead. It’s the power of the Holy Spirit. It’s the free gift of the His Holy Spirit that he wants to give to every believer. So do you need strength today well ask Him to full you with His fresh explosive power of the person of the Holy Spirit. Open up your heart to him this very day, very hour and ask Him to full you with this power. Just as a car needs fuel to run we need the power of the Holy Spirit to run this race and walk this walk, we can’t run on empty like a car.
