FIRE

I have been meditating on a verse lately, again, I had quickened to me a number of years ago.

It's from the Passion Translation, so it's a pretty loose translation, but it always stirs my heart

“At each and every sunrise, you will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to you. Every morning, I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for the fire of God to fall afresh on my heart” Psalm 5:3

It reminds me every day that I am a living sacrifice and there are areas of my life that need the touch of God's fire on them to bring lasting change and make me more like Jesus. I have some set prayers that I work through and make them requests before him each morning, before I do anything else. The 2 prayers of Paul in Ephesians are key: Ephesians 1:15-23 and then Ephesians 3:14-20. I also have some scriptures on healing. I go to and remind God of His healing covenant with me and ask for his healing in the areas of my body that need healing. I specifically ask him to line my head up with my heart. So many times, they don’t seem to connect. It's easy to just quote things off the top of our heads, but it's not connected to the heart. Real faith comes from the heart, and I love Dan Moller's prayer. Jesus, let me walk in everything you paid for and that I might see all that God has done for me in Christ. We all need fresh fire on our hearts to bring deep, lasting transformation. See, Jesus has paid for everything, absolutely everything, for us to be transformed and to become like Him. His divine power has given us everything we need for a godly life. His divine power is the power of the HS -Dumas power. Explosive power, from which we get the English word dynamite.
