PSALM 2

Psalm 2:1-3

“Why do the nations conspire and the people plot in vain. The Kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the lord and against His anointed one. Let us break their chains they say throw off their fetters.

We are entering a time when nations and leaders are beginning to rise up against Jesus, Gods anointed one and begin to throw off His word and His holy commands and the truth of His word. They see His word as restrictive, oppressive, old fashion. There is an attitude which says how you dare tell me what I’m doing is wrong or my life style is wrong. It talks about a falling away before the anti-Christ comes. It’s a falling away from the clear teaching of God’s word and His moral standards. A rebellion against God which is a preparation for the anti- Christ. Which is someone who is anti-God, anti-Gods moral law and His word. There will be an increasing casting off of all restraints. This will result in increasing wickedness and depravity. That which was once called evil will now be openly celebrated as good. In Matthew 24 Jesus gave as one of the main signs of the end an increasing of wickedness. We are fast entering into that season. We need to make sure we know what Gods word says and do not comprise His truth no matter what. We need courage and not bow down to the fear of man. That will be the test for us as believers.

I love the next verse “The one enthroned in heaven laughs the lord scoffs at them. Then he rebukes them in His anger” later on in this psalm it says “bow down and kiss the son lest he be angry” Bow down and submit to his word and leadership before it’s too late.
