It is written “I believed; therefore I have spoken”. With that same spirit of faith we also believe and therefore speak.
2 Corith 4:13
This is an interesting verse spoken by Paul. What is more interesting is that Paul is quoting from one of the psalms of David. Psalm 116:11 ‘And though I’m I hurting in my suffering and trauma I still stay faithful to God and I speak words of faith’ Passion Translation.
David was going through a very difficult time in his life probably from the hands of Saul living and hiding in the desert.
One of the keys in our life is learning to have a right confession of faith in the midst of severe trials and testing’s. Paul is saying this in the midst of extreme persecution. – ‘hard pressed on every side, but not crushed, perplexed, but not in despair, persecuted but not abandoned, struck down but not destroyed, Our right confession is important in the heat of the battle. It shows what’s really in our hearts. Notice it’s in the speaking and declaring.
Then in psalm 116 David goes on to say now what can I ever give back to God to repay him for his blessings He’s poured out on me Ill lift up his cup of salvation. Ill praise Him extravagantly. Right confession and praise are powerful.
