RUN TO JESUS

‘So I said to the approachable God, you are my maker, my mediator and my master v2

Lord, I have chosen you alone as my inheritance. You are my prize, my pleasure and my portion v5

Psalm 16 (passion translation)

That saying make it be about him before making it about you, is so true in terms of our approaching God and the confession of our mouth.

In v1 it says I run for dear life to you my safe place. Do you know how to run to the Lord and find that safe place in Him? What does that look like and feel like. These a good questions. It’s in that safe we can make these declarations that follow. There is no question Jesus is our secret place. In Colossians 3:3 it says ‘You have died and your life is hidden with Christ in God. That’s our safe place. It says in Hebrews we can approach boldly the throne of grace to receive help in the time of trouble. We have access any time any place simply because of what Jesus has done for us. The question is do we avail ourselves of this. The truth is many times we don’t as quickly as we could or should.
