TRANSITION

Most of you will be aware we need to move from Kathryn’s place by Sun 1st Dec. That means finding a new home and place to meet over the next 4 to 5 weeks. At the men’s camp someone gave me a scripture from Joshua chapter 1 for the coming season. I realised it was for this season of transition.

V9 Have I not commanded you? “Be strong and courage’s. Do not be terrified, do not be discouraged for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go” along with some other exhortations. Joshua needed to hear this because he was probably feeling all these things. Change and transition is always a bit daunting and can be overwhelming. I just listen to Graham Cooke talking about when there is no map and how do manoeuvre and respond in those times. When God called Abraham he had no idea where he was going or what that would look like. There was no map. It was the same with Joshua. When God call us he does not give us all the details. He simply calls us to trust and move forward. Exciting and scary all at the same time.
