UNOFFENDED

I have shared this on several occasions, but it's good to remind ourselves over and over again because over the years, I have seen this played out over and over again, and it's always sad to watch. Satan’s greatest weapon is offence, and that will be one of his main weapons as we approach the end of the age. It's interesting because of social media offences are epidemic in our societies and, sadly, even in the church. Once you have an offence if not dealt with, it leads to betrayal and bitterness. There are thousands of Christians who have left the church because of being offended. Judas betrayed Jesus. It started with an offence. Remember, he looked after the money bag and used to steal from it. He was offended when Mary came and poured out the expensive perfume on Jesus feet, worth a year's wages and said it could have been sold and given to the poor. He wasn’t concerned about the poor. He wanted to steal from the purse. He was in it for the money. He believed Jesus was the messiah and was waiting for Jesus to take over and rule. Suddenly, it dawned on him that this wasn’t going to happen. He betrayed Jesus for 30 pieces of silver. A Spirit of entitlement is a breeding ground for offences. Be warned, guard your heart against offences. Deal with it quickly. It will take you out of the kingdom and God's purposes for your life. Even Jesus said, “Brother will betray brother to death, and father his children will rebel against their parents and have them put to death. You will be hated by everyone because of me. Divisions and strife always begins with someone becoming offended, and then betrayal, broken relationships and then bitterness. If that’s your tendency, cry out to God to deal with your heart quickly and deliver you. God let me live an unoffended life.
