ABUNDANCE

“The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they have life and have it to the full”  John 10:10

These are Jesus very own words for us. We all talk about how God has a plan for our lives but we often forget the devil has also plan for our lives if we allow Him. According to these words the devil tries to come like a thief to steal, kill and destroy everything good in our life. He wants to destroy your job, your joy, your happiness, your health, your finances, your marriage your family and your kids. He wants to ruin everything he can get His hands on. The word thief gives a picture of a bandit, pickpocket, who is very artful in the way he steals and his exploits of thievery are nearly undetectable. He’s looking to take as many Christians out of the race and the plans God has for them. I can’t count the number of Christians I have known over the years who have been taken out by the enemy. I don’t mean they have denied Jesus but they certainly have been crippled bound and are not walking in Gods purposes for their lives and many of them are not even aware what’s happened.

He comes to steal our joy, peace, and even our belief’s if we allow Him. He comes to make us offended with one another which is one of his greatest weapons. We capitulate sometimes without even putting up a fight.  To destroy has the idea of something ruined, wasted, trashed, devastated and destroyed.

Jesus comes to give us life which suggest a life that is full of vitality, peace, joy in abundance which means super abundance = to the full. The devil will push all the buttons in our emotions to keep us all bound up and depressed. That’s why things like worship, praise, prayer, and fellowship and reading His word become so important. There is no doubt about what the devil wants you to be - defeated, to struggle through your entire life. I urge you put on the brakes and stop Satan wreaking havoc in your life. Jesus will give you power to resist and overcome. The key - you have to come to Him.
