FASTING

I have been deeply encouraged and absolutely surprised and moved at how many people who are fasting in this season without any announcement on our part. Several are in the process of doing a 40 day fast with others doing 1 week, 2 days a week, 1 day a week. Some from dusk until dawn. It’s staggering and exciting when people start fasting. I’m reminded of that scripture which says God is a rewarder of those who diligently seek him. So my prayer is that God will meet with those ones who are fasting When Gods people want to fast, God is up to something powerful. The best definition I have ever read about fasting is that it’s a home sickness for God. You are prepared to deny your self-food simply because you want more of God. Many of you have responded to Lue Engle’s call for a worldwide 40 day fast which began on the 1st of March where thousands have signed up around the world with the main prayer being that Jesus the evangelist would arise in His church. Let’s be aware of what God is doing in our midst and if you feel to join in please jump in even if it’s one day a week. Let’s see what God is doing and join with Him. Let’s keep in step with the Spirit in this season. God is up to something big. Wow
