His mercies are new every morning

Yet this I call to mind and therefore I have hope

Because of the Lords great love, we are not consumed for his compassions never fail. They are new every morning great is your faithfulness. I say to myself “The lord is my portion; therefore, I wait for Him”

Lamemtations 3:21-24

When it uses the word compassion its described Gods mercy and loving kindness. In Isaiah 30:18 it says he rises up to show compassion -mercy and loving kindness. It shows his absolute eagerness and longing towards us. They are new every morning. We can come to the Lord every morning and as we humble ourselves before Him, we can have a clean slate before Him every day. The blood of Jesus Christ continually cleans us as we come before Him each morning in confession and repentance.  That means he doesn’t hold our sins and mistakes over us from the past or the day before. If he did that, we would have all been consumed a long time ago. I try to take communion most mornings and read this passage and allow His blood to cleanse me from any past sin and failure the day before. Every morning can be a brand-new start with Him every day. Don’t let your past mistakes, yesterday’s sins define you or condemn you. Don’t let the devil condemn you and remind you of past sin. Once you confess it God has forgotten it like it never existed. Bring it to the cross and allow his precious blood to cover them. That’s the power of His blood. Keep short accounts with God and keep bringing everything into the light. Its cultivating a heart of continual surrender before Him each day.

Paslm 139:23 is always powerful.  Search me oh God and know my heart test me and know my anxious thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me (anything not pleasing to you) and lead me in the way everlasting.
