HOW WE TREAT ISRAEL

This is what the sovereign Lord says: When I gather the people from Israel from the nations where they have been scattered, I will show myself holy among them in the sight of the nations. Then they will live in their own land which I gave to my servant Jacob. They will live in safety when I inflict punishment on all their neighbors who maligned them. Then they will know that I am the lord their God. Ezekiel 28:25-26

This is Ezekiel prophesying about Israel in the future. We know that Israel was dispersed among the nations in AD70 when the Roman Empire came and drove all the jews out of the land of Israel and they slowly dispersed over all the nations for nearly 2000 years and then in 1948 the United Nations declared Israel a nation again and since then the Jews have been gathering back in the land and at the moment at about 40 to 50 thousand per year from all over the world. They are still the apple of His eye, and we have to be very careful how we speak about and malign them. He’s gathering them so he can reveal himself to them even in their unbelief and rebellion. It's interesting if you go to Ezekiel 25 and 26 Ezekiel pronounces judgement upon 6 nations simply because they maligned Israel when Israel was taken into captivity by Babylon for 70 years. There sin was simply mocking what happened to Israel. That’s all.  This is a severe warning to nations today and to us. We can bring Gods judgement upon us. Remember Jesus cannot come back until the Jews cry out and acknowledge that Jesus is their messiah then the end comes. Gods’ wisdom in how he works is far beyond ours. Our part is to pray and especially for the peace of Jerusalem. The Jews are part of the true vine and will be grafted back in before the end of the age.
