NATIONS IN TURMOIL

I was reading psalm 2 this morning in my devotional time. I found it really encouraging for this time with what’s happening in the world and all the turmoil going on. So I would encourage you to read it because it gives Gods perspective of what’s happening. Even the title of the psalm is revealing. “The Drama of the nations.

V4 “God enthroned merely laughs at them (the upheaval of the nations.) Amused at all there puny plans (Putin, NATO china etc.) mocking their madness. Then with the fierceness of His fiery anger he settles the issue.

Wow then it goes on in v10

Listen to me all you rebel kings and all you upstart rulers of the earth learn your lesson while there is still time. Serve and worship the awe inspiring God

Wow let’s Get Gods perspective on world events. No wonder it says keep our eyes fixed upon our God and redeemer. We have limited understanding of Gods purposes and plans and sometimes we can find it hard to find words on how to pray. Just pray in your prayer language if that’s the case. That’s what it’s for. Gods heart is all would come to repentance and know. As it says in v12 “fall down and kiss the feet of His son.” We are not ones who should be full of fear and anxious because our God is on His throne and working everything out for His purposes even if we can’t see it even in the midst of death and destruction and heart ache. Mediate on the whole psalm
