Pauls Apostolic prayers

I have been struck again by Paul's 2 Apostolic prayers in Ephesians. Ephesians 1:16-21 and Ephesians 3:14-21 and just how powerful they really are and the key for any renewal in the church. There is a lot of talk about apostolic ministry in the church today. To me these 2 prayers are the key. Paul was no doubt the greatest Apostle in many ways and the fact that he wrote much of the New Testament. But his true apostolic ministry was formed and shaped by his deep intercessory prayer for the church and believer’s. He talks about how he travailed in prayer like a mother giving birth until Christ be formed in people. That’s the very heart of any true apostolic ministry. Take a hold of these 2 prayers in Ephesus and make them your own. Let them burn in your heart as you begin to pray them over not just yourself but your families, children and Gods church let them create a hunger in you for more of Jesus and to filled with the fullness of God. It’s the cry for the more.
