SHAKING

“At that time His voice shook the earth but now he has promised, Once more I will shake not only the earth but also the heavens. The words once more indicate the removing of what can be shaken that is, created things so that what cannot be shaken may remain” Hebrews 12:27

Our response as believer’s is given in the next verse.

Therefore, since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe for our God is a consuming fire.

Wow here is our clear response as believers. This passage is a direct quote from the OT prophet Haggai. I would suggest Gods shakings have come all through the history of mankind. It seems when man and nations in their arrogance and rebellion and sin against God reaches His throne room he says enough. He reminds us he is still on the throne and I would suggest it’s His kindness so that perhaps many would turn and find Him in repentance and humility before its too late. Because remember all of history is heading to the final judgement day where everyone has to give account of how we lived our life’s before God
